Frequently Asked Questions

  • Online registration for SCTX Camp is $230.00 for Youth and Hyphen Campers, and $185.00 for Deans and Matrons (workers.) This includes all main meals, lodging, amenities, dynamic apostolic preaching, and worship for the entire week! Online registration closes on May 27th at 11:59 PM. Registration on site will be $250.00.

  • Youth (12-17) and Hyphen (18-22) campers will attend main session services together, and share meal times, but will have their own age specific split sessions Tuesday-Thursday. Youth and Hyphens will not share dorms. All students aged 18+ will be required to sleep in the Hyphen dorms, and will undergo a background check.

  • Deans and Matrons must be 23 years of age on or before June 3, 2024. Deans and Matrons will act as Youth dorm supervisors, as well as assist in other leadership areas of camp.

  • SCTX Youth & Hyphen Camp is a closed campus event. You must register and attend for the entirety of the camp. No unregistered person(s) will be allowed on-site under any circumstances (exceptions for medical or behavioral emergencies only.)

  • Please see the camper forms linked above for all details regarding dress, conduct, and camp guidelines.

  • We encourage each group to have its own leader(s) who stay in the dorms with their group. The leader/camper ratio at Youth Camp is 1 leader per 10 youth. If you do not have an available chaperone from your church, your students will be paired wit another group.

  • Our camp is at Texas Baptist Encampment in Palacios, TX: a Christian camp facility with a full-service commercial kitchen, retreat quality dorms, outdoor basketball, volleyball, gaga ball, dodgeball, an amphitheater, swimming pool, and so much more! Plus beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico!

  • Youth camp is a special time for youth group unity. Our goal is to keep each group together. If a group is divided, we will work with the leader of the group to get the best arrangements possible. TBE dorms are quite large, with all guys in one building, and all girls in another.

  • Youth Camp check-in begins at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 3rd. Check-in and registration will be from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. The departure time is 11:00 am on Friday, June 7th. Early release for groups will not be permitted except for unavoidable extenuating circumstances.
